Miresi is a new game that I happened to try out at Anime Expo 2026. I must say, I do love a good RPG. Even though the game is a very small demo at the convention. I feel it has a lot of potential. The game feels like a cross between Arknight: Endfield and Honkai Star Rail, give or take. It is not a bad thing, especially when you can play it from your PC or your phone.
The game features very beautiful fan-service characters, great art style and detail, really awesome animation, and a good combat system. Though the combat system, I feel, is a bit lacking, it is quite easy to understand and jump right in. Though it will probably improve more once it gets closer to release. There is much more to cover that has not been fully shown, including the progression system, gear, deck building, and more.
For those interested in combat, it is a hybrid of real-time & turn-based, where you watch your character fight, and once it is their turn, you can select 1 of 3 abilites to help reposition, deal more damage, or protect/heal other allies. During the time-stop sequence, you can capture and look around the battlefield. There are also commander skills you can use to help you in your fight. The skills are point-and-click; there isn’t much detailed information shown, only whether it’s AOE or single-target. You don’t get to read any information; you just watch everything unfold. Hopefully, they make it more intuitive and interactive to make fighting more fun when the closed beta comes around.
I wish there were more. I can say I do enjoy it very much, and hopefully I can join the next closed beta to get a more in-depth review of the game. For now, enjoy a small cutscene from the game. Thank you to the Smilegate team, the Miresi Staff, Katherine from FortySeven, and the FortySeven PR team for this wonderful experience.
