LA Comic Con 2025

From September 26 to 28, thousands of fans filled the LA Convention Center for LA Comic Con 2025, which proved to be one of the biggest and most diverse pop culture celebrations in the convention’s history. This year’s event delivered a stellar mix of celebrity guests, anime and gaming attractions, expanded exhibitor booths, and a vibrant display of fan creativity.

Star-Studded Guest Lineup

The convention floor buzzed with anticipation as Elizabeth Olsen headlined the weekend, thrilling fans with her presence as the Scarlet Witch. She joined panels, photo opportunities, and autograph sessions, cementing herself as one of the most anticipated stars of the show. Other Marvel favorites such as Paul Bettany, Charlie Cox, and Krysten Ritter joined the roster, alongside Vincent D’Onofrio and Mike Colter. A surprise highlight came with a Scream reunion featuring Matthew Lillard, Skeet Ulrich, David Arquette, and Jamie Kennedy, which drew massive crowds to the main stage.

Anime and Voice Acting Shine

Anime fans were treated to a full schedule at Akiba Station, LA Comic Con’s dedicated anime hub. Panels and meet-and-greets showcased voice actors from popular series, while for the first time, Japanese talent joined the lineup. Yuriko Yamaguchi (One Piece, Pokémon) and Takeshi Kusao (Dragon Ball Z) delighted attendees with stories from their long careers. While some hoped for appearances from the cast of Netflix’s Arcane, they were not on this year’s roster, leaving plenty of room for future anticipation.

Gaming Expands its Presence

The Gaming Hall returned larger than ever, offering something for every type of gamer. From indie showcases and competitive tournaments to trading card game areas and hands-on demos, the section reflected the growing influence of gaming culture within the convention scene. Exhibitors provided sneak peeks of upcoming titles, while freeplay zones were packed throughout the weekend.

Cosplay & Horror Take the Spotlight

Cosplay once again brought the convention floor to life, with attendees showing off everything from Marvel superheroes to anime icons and horror legends. This year also introduced an expanded horror booth area, which quickly became one of the most popular sections. As someone who has attended LA Comic Con before, I found the addition especially exciting it gave the show a fresh edge and highlighted how the event is always evolving to keep things new and engaging.

A Convention Growing Stronger

Having watched the convention grow year after year, LA Comic Con 2025 felt like a milestone. The halls were busier, the programming broader, and the atmosphere more electric than ever. Personally, it was rewarding to return and see how much the event has expanded not only in scale, but also in the variety of experiences offered. From the thrill of seeing Elizabeth Olsen on stage to wandering through aisles of cosplayers and game booths, the convention captured the spirit of fandom at its best.

As the weekend came to a close, one thing was clear: LA Comic Con continues to cement its place as one of the West Coast’s premier fan destinations. With next year’s announcements already on the horizon, the excitement for what’s next is stronger than ever.
